Electronic Feed Measuring System
The system encompasses four Feed Intake nodes model 4000/E that identity of each animal from its radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. The information is then transmitted to a computer housed in the office.
Measurement
Duration and intake for every individual feeding event. Head down duration during the feeding event. Feed disappearance during the feeding event. Animals standing at the bunk not consuming feed.
Grazing activity
Time of the event, one second accurate Intervals between events. Number of animals feeding simultaneously “Who feeds where” at the bunk within 15 cm accurate “Who feeds besides who”? Feeding frequency over user-selected time interval. Automatic calculation of feed supply
